ACD 321.1, Faculty Chair and Faculty Member Detail Term Limits

NNSA has a long history of supporting PME institutions by providing NNSA employees to serve details as either faculty chairs or faculty members. This arrangement benefits both NNSA and the PME institutions. NNSA routinely approved detail extensions when requested by either the NNSA employee or the PME institutions. These extensions have resulted in reduced opportunities for other NNSA employees to serve in faculty positions, complications concerning the detailee's return to NNSA, and perceived favoritism of specific employees.
