SD 450.2 Admin Chg 1, Functions, Responsibilities and Authorities (FRA) Document for Safety Management
Define, identify, and clarify the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) safety management functions, responsibilities, authorities, and associated delegations within NNSA Headquarters (HQ), Field Office, line, program, and functional management organizations to ensure that work is performed safely. This Supplemental Directive (SD) implements and assigns responsibilities established within NNSA by the Department of Energy (DOE) Directives System, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Federal Statutes, Executive Orders, and other authorities. Contractor responsibilities are contained in DOE directive Contract Requirements Documents (CRDs). This SD is issued to comply with the Secretary’s direction concerning safety management responsibilities and assigns safety responsibilities and authorities described in DOE O 450.2, Integrated Safety Management. This SD is written to document NNSA roles and responsibilities in implementing safety management systems and supplements DOE’s Office of Environment, Health, Safety and Security (AU) FRA delegation tables.
